Step-by-step guide

How to buy NFTs on Robinhood Chain

From an empty wallet to your first NFT, in eight plain steps. We use Oozlings as the example, but the same steps work for any collection on Robinhood Chain.

Before you start: you'll need a computer or phone with an EVM wallet and some ETH. Take your time, double-check addresses, and never share your seed phrase. New to all this? Read NFTs on Robinhood Chain, explained first.

The steps

  1. Set up a wallet

Install an EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby from its official site. Create a new wallet and write the seed phrase on paper. Keep it offline and never type it into a website. Nobody legitimate, including us, will ever ask for it.

  2. Add the Robinhood Chain network

Some wallets list Robinhood Chain already. If yours doesn't, add it by hand (in MetaMask: Networks, then Add a custom network) with these details from the official Robinhood Chain docs:

    Network nameRobinhood Chain
    RPC URLhttps://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com
    Chain ID4663
    Currency symbolETH
    Block explorerhttps://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com

The official RPC is rate-limited. If it's slow, https://robinhood-rpc.publicnode.com also serves chain ID 4663. You can cross-check everything on Chainlist.

  3. Bridge ETH to Robinhood Chain

You need ETH on Robinhood Chain to pay for the NFT and for gas. The canonical route is the Arbitrum bridge portal: connect your wallet there, pick Ethereum as the source and Robinhood Chain as the destination, and send ETH.

    • Deposits usually arrive in about 10 minutes.
    • Withdrawals back to Ethereum through the canonical bridge take about 7 days, plus a final claim on Ethereum.
    • The official bridging page lists other supported bridges if you'd rather use one of those.

Leave a little extra ETH for gas. Fees on Robinhood Chain are usually small, but you'll want some for the purchase and any later transfers.

  4. Find the collection on OpenSea

Open the collection from the project's own website or X account, so you know the link is real. For Oozlings that's opensea.io/collection/oozlings. You can also browse everything on the chain with OpenSea's Robinhood Chain filter, or start from our project directory.

  5. Verify the contract

Before you buy, check the collection's details on OpenSea. The network should say Robinhood Chain, and the contract address should exactly match the one the project publishes. Paste it into Blockscout to see the contract and its transfer history.

For Oozlings the address is 0x674bF3477B4021C5E1aA27d7100DA6C8eEe0AC03 (view on Blockscout).

  6. Buy the NFT

Pick a token, choose Buy now (or make an offer, which usually uses wrapped ETH), and review the transaction in your wallet. Check that it says Robinhood Chain before you confirm. A normal purchase is a single transaction. If anything asks you to approve access to all your tokens out of nowhere, stop and double-check where you are.

  7. View your NFT and its holder page

Once the transaction confirms, the NFT shows in your OpenSea profile and on the explorer under your address. If it's an Oozling, open oozlings.com/oozling/<id> (swap in your token number) to see its holder page: the current owner and how many days it's been held, read live from Robinhood Chain. To see all of yours at once, paste your address into My Puddle. No wallet connection needed for either.

  8. Make it yours with the Pit Kit

The Pit Kit turns your Oozling into a profile picture and an X banner in a few clicks. Then come say hi on X @Oozlings.

Quick safety checklist

  • Network says Robinhood Chain, chain ID 4663.
  • Collection link came from the project's own site or X account.
  • Contract address matches exactly on the marketplace and on Blockscout.
  • You're signing one purchase, not a blanket approval.
  • No one asked for your seed phrase. (If they did, it's a scam.)

Oozlings will never DM you a link, and oozlings.com never asks you to connect a wallet.
